Lots to talk about, so let’s go:
Leaky Roof Meadery is planning their 1st Annual Bond Burning party. They plan on having this celebration of their Grand Opening every year, but this will be a big, big party. It’s on Saturday, July 12th, and runs from 1pm to 10pm out at their Meadery. They’ll have tons of live music, Ozarks Barbecue, and lots of mead.
The Brown Derby Wine Center has some events lining up for you very soon. On June 27th, they’re hosting The Thirsty Pilgrim, Joe Stange, for their complimentary beer tasting. It runs from 4-7pm every Friday night, but on the 27th, they’ll be featuring a selection of Belgian Beers hand-selected by the co-author of Around Brussels in 80 Beers and The Good Beer Guide to Belgium. If you like Belgian Beers, the beer and the conversation at this tasting will be something you do not want to miss.
In addition to the June 27th tasting, they’re also planning a big Anchorage Brewing tasting. It’ll be on June 17th at 6:30 pm. That’s NEXT TUESDAY. They will have some incredible beers lined up, so don’t miss it unless you’re going to this next event:
The third Tuesday of each month, The Homebrewery in Ozark, Missouri hosts The Zymurgists of the Ozarks Home Brewing Society (You can call them the Homebrew ZOO for short). In our monthly meetings (yes, I am a member), we discuss and learn about craft beer and homebrewing, and we sample homebrew that folks have brought to share. It’s free, it starts at 7:30, and if you have ever even considered brewing your own beer, you should be there.
Mother’s Brewing Company owns a factory that manufactures love by the barrel. As such, they like to share the love with anyone who comes by. Throughout the past month, Mother’s beer fans in Kansas City have been battling for spots on the “Bus to Mother’s”. That buss will arrive at Mother’s Brewing Company on June 20th. Wouldn’t it be fun to meet all of them there?
After you get done at the Brown Derby on June 27th (that tasting only goes to 7, right?), you should head over to Mother’s for their Friday Flix with their friends from The Moxie Cinema. This month’s show in Mother’s Backyard is Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Show starts around 8:30, and you can feel free to bring a blanket, some chairs, but leave the wee ones at home, because this is BAT COUNTRY (and this event is 21+ only).
Boulevard Brewing Company and The Mud Lounge are having a party to celebrate the release of Boulevard’s Radler. Sadly, I don’t have many details yet, but I will get them and post them before the event.
Oh, and Lazy Magnolia Brewing Company is the beer of the month over at Finnegan’s, so get out there and try them out if you haven’t. I highly recommend the Southern Pecan.
